An Evaluation Essay assesses the object of study and induces the reader to agree with the writer's point of view. Evaluation essay is somewhat similar to the cause and effect essays, except for considering no cause-and-effect relations. Evaluation involves pondering over the text, actions or events and is not limited to books and articles only.

Another website I will speak about is located at http://encarta.msn.com/ and represents one of the most famous online encyclopedias, Encarta. This website just like other websites on the top and at the bottom possesses access to all major sections of the website. Vertically the website can be divided into two parts with the left part containing articles and information relevant to the text expressed in the right part of the site. The text would be interrupted several times for commercial sponsored sites and if needed, one could easily access them. This website is highly visited by people from all over the world and thus possesses little to no graphics.

Descriptive Essays
Descriptive essay is a wide-spread piece of writing that is intended to present a deeply involved and highly vivid experience of the writer to the reader. Effective descriptive essays reach its main goal not due to facts or statistical data, but due to detailed descriptions and observations. The paper may describe an object, person, topic, place, or some event in personal life. That’s why it is important to identify a topic of the essay before writing it. As in any other type of essay, a good thesis is a key part of the writing piece, and the descriptive paper is not an exception. Thesis statement may be developed in a way of a question that is to be answered in a body or conclusion of the essay.
As the majority of the essays, descriptive essay is made of an introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction presents the general idea of the topic. The main body describes people or events that vividly demonstrate the reader a clear picture of the story. Conclusion usually summarizes the main points of the story.
To make an essay interesting and easy to read it is recommended to use a lot of adjectives and adverbs in the text. The writer must catch the reader’s attention by means of creation of a vivid picture. Usually in this type of essay the reader’s attention is get by means of imaginative language, comparisons of various places, people, or objects that appeal to the reader’s senses. It is important to appeal to five senses of a human when writing an effective description: smell, sight, sound, touch, taste. The reader must be able to imagine the story in as much detail as possible, so the writer must be focused on descriptive details of the story he describes.
Introduction of the paper has to describe some interesting facts on the topic. Here it is important to use an affective introductory paragraph, because this is a decisive point for the reader to continue reading or not. As mentioned above, the introductive paragraph must contain a thesis statement so it was clear what the essay is about.
Body of the paper demonstrates how well the writer knows the topic. Here an adequate number of descriptive adverbs and adjectives are to be used to vividly describe the topic and deeply involve the reader into the story.
The concluding paragraph summarizes all the facts and other materials presented in the body of the paper. Thesis statement is to be restated in the conclusion and all main information must be analyzed. Proper use of the in-text citations and the list of sources at the end of the paper is an important part of the descriptive essay.
When revising own descriptive essay, the writer must ask himself several questions that would help to tailor his work to excellence:
- Are there enough details and descriptions presented in the paper that will enable the readers vividly percept the topic?
- Is the paper rich with words that convey emotions?
- Are there any unnecessary points in the essay?
- Are the paragraphs arranged in an affective manner?
